Comparison is the Thief of Joy

Take a moment right now to reflect on your life and all the things you went through to get to this moment.  Consider the struggles, triumphs, and defeats that helped contribute and reform the powerful person you are today.  Now ask yourself this simple question, does the success of others suddenly dilute yours or my accomplishments?  We will save you the time, the answer is NO.  It was once said, “Comparison is the thief of joy” by the late president Theodore Roosevelt.  Your happiness can be rooted in many things but it should not be rooted in someone else’s achievements.

We at Jed North are an apparel brand that specializes in activewear for all fitness journeys.  What is important to acknowledge is whether you are taking those first steps, charging through the path with your head down or took a sharp left turn is recognizing that it is never ending.  To take this journey is to learn about your body through action and your mind through engagement.  Realizing that the only battle is with your own mind and body is the foundation on which a proper path can be laid out.  From this point is where the fun part begins.  Fitness in the modern day can take many forms and can cater to just about personality type.   You can lift weights, practice yoga, participate in team sports, take Zumba classes, kickboxing, boxing, rock climbing or spin classes.

We encourage you to embark on this path when you are ready but there is no time like the present.  We encourage you to take control of your fitness path and prepare yourself for the struggles, triumphs, and the defeats.  If you must look to others do not compare, instead learn and try to apply to further curate your own path.
