Things to do while social distancing
Practicing social distancing and staying at home can become really repetitive and boring. Here are some things you can do during the quarantine!
- Pick up a new hobby or revisit an old one.
Have you always wanted to learn how to draw? Haven't touched that instrument since high school? Use this time to learn new skills or enhance the skills you already have.
- Exercise.
With gyms being closed across the country, it can be difficult to find the motivation to keep your body moving. Take a walk outside, turn up the music and dance in your living room, or follow your favorite athlete's home workout routine. Find a form of exercise you like and stick to it! There are so many resources online to keep yourself healthy while you’re staying at home.

- Stay Educated.
If you didn't know Google offers online courses where you can get certified for certain kinds of things and skills FOR FREE. Yes, you read that right.

- Coordinate a video call with your loved ones and friends.
Being away from your friends and loved ones can be very lonely. Apps like Zoom, Google Hangouts, and FaceTime make it easier to communicate with them and make this quarantine not feel as lonely. Message your friends to plan a time to have a call. Play online games, watch a movie or have a dance party. Be creative with it and have fun!
- Meditate or start journaling.
Self-care is super important, especially through these times. Remember to take some time away from social media and your phone. Reflect on your thoughts and write them down. Enjoy the time you have with yourself and let it lead you to more self-discovery.
6. Send a gift to a loved one
Let the person you love know that you're thinking about them. Jed North offers FREE handwritten notes when you send a package to your loved ones. Uplift their spirit, inspire them to stay positive and motivated during these times.
